The Field Sales Manager 1 at Tortorella Pools focuses on driving sales growth through on-site visits, client consultations, and detailed assessments of pool construction projects. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills, as well as proficiency in using various software systems for quotes, documentation, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits for construction, renovation, and repair projects as well as seasonal service
- Assess and document client needs, wants, existing pool systems, and system & property conditions
- Create detailed written reports and accurate quotes for various types of projects
- Drive sales growth through new and existing customer relationships
- Identify, document, and pursue upselling opportunities
- Liaise between clients and internal teams (operations, account managers)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Generate leads for new business across all divisional offerings
- Engage in technical conversations with clients and provide internal support for the sales team
- Utilize CRM software to manage client relationships, track leads, and monitor sales pipeline
- Use internal management tools to collaborate with internal teams and track project progress
- Implement digital documentation systems for site visits, surveys, and client communications
- Leverage mobile technology for on-site data collection and real-time information sharing
- Maintain proficiency in company-specific software for inventory management and resource allocation
- Experience in pool construction, maintenance, or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of pool systems, construction processes, and industry regulations
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in creating detailed reports and quotes
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various sites
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Experience with quoting and estimation software specific to the pool industry
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana)
- Comfort with mobile applications for field data collection and reporting
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems
- Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting too
